Now that things have settled down after the wedding, Danae and Atticus got to work overhauling the yard, adding flowers, lanterns, a few bunny statues, and a ridiculous gnome house in the corner. =D
The Escalante brothers (Rosie’s uncles/ Marietta’s brothers) recently moved back to Oasis Springs from Willow Creek, and are finally comfortable in their own little flat they’ve nicknamed “Rio Poco.” The older one on the right keeps making dirty fish jokes while I touch it up; if he doesn’t stop, he’s gonna get smacked. >_>
Augh! No I didn’t! Maybe if I’d put them in someone’s inventory they would have transferred from one save to another? I don’t know… it’s alright, though. This is the last generation I’m playing of the Scones, so hopefully I won’t need them! Plus, we have the wishing well now!
While I’ve transferred food via inventory within the same save, I don’t know if it survives a trip through the Library. Hm… Kinda want to check now…
I tried the wishing well out with Bob Pancakes recently, and made him wish for happiness. The poor guy got that “you’re miserable but you make everyone else happy” de-buff. I’ll have to be careful with my other sims.
I was SO CONFUSED as to why everyone in the household was suddenly cooking all at once, and then I remembered: this is a new save! The fridge isn’t full of Olive’s never-spoiling leftovers anymore, and she’s not even with us any longer to make more. 😦 You will be sorely missed, Olive, especially if one of these dorks sets the house on fire.
Sorry for the big gap guys, I went to see Deadpool last weekend, then spent the week separating my simself families from my story-save. [Also, I’m just not good at consistent updates =P ]
I found that I was reluctant to continue playing (even though I liked the goals I have set for each family etc) and kept having to sort of force myself to play; I finally realized that it was because I didn’t want my selfsim kids to age up. I’ve worked very hard to make my family look right, get the ages spaced appropriately, heights adjusted (thank you SimmyTheSim!), and I intend to add more. After all of that, to have my parents both die of old age by accident while I’m running Atticus through a work day? GAAAAH. I’ve already had to give them and two of my sisters who shouldn’t be adult age each a PoY after receiving a “their last days are here make the most” type pop-up. -__-
So I moved us all out, and now I can play my SimsCounty save in proper rotation with aging for everybody on Long, and my SelfsimFamily save can sit safely with aging off! ;D
So I was reading about Spontaneous Human Combustion on Wikipedia and found this. Anyone know if this is real?
Oh yes. In TS2 at least, the Seasons EP added the chance to become so hot in Summer (working out also?) that if you didn’t cool them down quickly (glass of water, swimming) your sim could spontaneously combust.
While waiting for Emerson’s birthday, I ran around town to check on assorted siblings that have been moved out. The Hopper sisters ended up in PlentyOfPlumbobs’ Modern 3-Story, a lovely shell that I decided to fill with MH decor.
Penelope (short hair, younger sister) is upstairs, and her room is mostly geometric designs. Charlotte (long hair, middle child) has the second floor with a more organic style (plants and flowers). It’s not finished, but I’m liking the matchy-not-matching effect. I don’t usually decorate this boldly, we’ll see where this goes…
