Rosetta: “Emerson! I thought you were in Willow Creek until tomorrow?”
Emerson laughed: “I thought so too, but they ended up renting the big van, so we didn’t have to keep going back and forth. Man your uncles have a lot of crap.”
Grinning, she nods. “Yeah they do.”
He takes her hand, and gives her a small kiss. “You doing alright?”
She sighs and shakes her head.
Emerson wraps his arms around her. “Are you sure you want to go out later? Now that I’m back we can just stay in and watch something.”
“HA, and then Shar would storm up to the house yelling that we skipped her birthday to make out! No, I’d rather just go.”
“Okay, but if you change your mind “The Krakken” and I can be over in two minutes flat.”
“OH GOD no!” She shoves him away. “Do you want me to watch a movie, or run screaming to Shar’s?”
“Sooo… that’s a yes?”
Rosie punches him. “Get out of here, I’ve got homework to finish before I can get ready.”
He chuckles and steals a kiss before heading down the street.
