Atticus: “So you really don’t mind that we’re having the party without you?”
Danae: “It’s fine, I work too late most days and this is the best day for their friends. Just have fun and feed them lots of cake so they’re still wired when I get home!” ;D

I’ll just… wait here then.
After rubbing elbows with so many new people, Tem came down with a cold.
Neither of them won their contests, but they came across Charlotte by the rocket and stopped to see how she was doing.
Danae had to leave for work before GeekCon ended, so Tem sat down with a couple of reapers to watch a sci-fi movie. She left in just enough time to get home before the kids’ school let out.
With something in her stomach, Tem gets into the spirit of things and enters the Hackathon.
While Tem ate, Danae decided to try out a familiar game. Turns out 3D Blic-Bloc is waaay more fun than moving your finger around on a screen!
Tem: First order of business, a hot dog! I’m starving!
Tem: “Bob is that you?”
“Sweetheart?” Danae found Atticus out front, eating lemon ice cream.
“Mmhmm?” He scooped another spoonful.
Danae: “Have you noticed how bored your mom has been since she quit work?”
Atticus: “No, she seems fine to me.”
Danae: “Are you sure? Have you seen how much food is in the fridge?”
Atticus: “She loves to cook, what can I say?”
Danae shook her head. “Alright, well I’m going to take her out today, maybe show her around the city. The GeekCon will be in town, she might have fun there.”
Atticus ate the last bite. “That sounds good to me.”
