Danae went across the street to hang out with Rosie for a while before the kids came home from school.  When she saw them on the corner she made her goodbyes and headed back; as she walked across the street she heard Tem mention her name, and something about groceries.

Emmet: “Grandma, can I go with you to the store!?”

Tem ruffled his hair as she passed him.  “No kiddo, you’ve got homework to do.  I saw your report card the other day.”

Emmett: “Awww… Will you bring me home an ice cream bar then?”

Tem laughed over her shoulder.  “Sure sweetie, I’ll get a box of Fudgesicles for us.”

Emmett: YES

Danae gave them both kisses.  “So how was school guys?”

Daphne: Ugh, where do I begin…

So the tortie you’ve seen before is my extremely attached 4yo lap-kitty (nicknamed Mrs Biggleworth).  The tabby here is a recent arrival.

He’s a 7yo bathroom gollum named Buddy, who likes to hide behind the toilet most of the time and get upset when it flushes.  A co-worker could no longer keep him, so we have a new cat, lol.  It’s been over a week now (?) and he’s finally settling in and looking less tense.  o/

With everyone at work and school now, Tem decided to take up yoga.  Morning stretches in a warm flower-scented breeze is almost as good at waking one up as coffee.

Tem paused mid-pushup.  That reminds me, I should pick up more coffee later.

Nothing fancy, just sausage and peppers, brownies, and a bunch of chatter.

=D

Daphne: “So Aunt Charlotte, are you ever gonna pick a boyfriend?”

Everyone froze.

Corbin: “What did she say!?”

Danae: “Mommy and Daddy said you have a bunch of boyfriends, and that I should only have one at a time.  Are you trying to decide which one you like the most?”

Danae: I’m so dead.

So four sibling and a couple of girlfriends were invited over to make sure the twins have met the basic extended family, and what do they do?  They all enter through different doors, and file into the guest room.  =/

Everyone gtfo please.

That’s better, thank you.

Daphne: “Uncle Corbin come see my monkey bars!  They’re so pretty!”

Corbin: “Don’t you mean yours and Emmett’s?”

Daphne: “No, they’re all mine, he never uses them, he’s lazy.”

Corbin: “That’s not very nice!”
